Lowbrow. Sensitive. Sensible. And extremely professional. The atmosphere at Shopper's Stop -- be it Andheri or Mulund, Bandra or Bangalore -- has always that touch of amiability that makes shopping a delight.
Shopper's Stop strikes the perfect balance. It does have that aura of exclusivity about it, but without being a snob. It is a very rare thing to maintain, especially in this era of cutthroat competition.
I think one must give it to Shopper's Stop for training their customer assistants to be extremely helpful without being intrusive. Smart and helpful, these guys do not smile unnecessarily but mean it when they do.
The shop offers a good variety, from denims to diamonds, from towels to trousseau. However, the emphasis on promoting inhouse brands has seen some competitive brands vanish from the shelves.
Shoppers Stop's loyalty programme (First Citizen) is also very well-managed. One keeps getting valuable information and offers periodically and unlike many other establishments, they actually encourage you to encash your loyalty points by constant reminders and direct mailers.
Have I gone overboard in my praise? Well, what the heck, at least there's one Indian brand which takes ''Customer Service'' in letter & spirit.
