Review:
I will start by saying that I don't know about the short distance movements but please do not book them for your long distance movements if you care about your peace of mind.
If at all you can take stress and lose your patience about the non delivery of your consignment, then maybe you can go ahead and book their services.
Starting with the booking process, I would say it was smooth. I came across their advertisement pasted on my building gate and called and reached out to Mr.Venkatesh from their team. I told him that this is the first time that I am taking the services of a Packers and Movers company and I don't know how to go about it. He was polite and cooperative. The very next day, Mr. Sailesh visited my house to check the things that were to be moved and gave me a quotation of 25000 rs. I was in my office at that time and my mother was alone at home. Mr. Shailesh started pressurizing my mother to make the booking right away. My mother felt uncomfortable about this and called me and asked me to talk to the guy. I told him that I can only confirm the booking after I come back home from the office and after discussing with my mother. He then left my place. Soon after Mr. Venkatesh called me regarding the booking. I told him the same thing and asked for negotiation on the price quoted. He came down to 19000, which I felt was a good deal. Now, since I randomly called them and did not have much information about them, I planned to visit their office. I coordinated with Venkatesh and visited their office and there I met Mr. Waseem who claimed to be the manager over there.
Now comes the conversation with Mr. Waseem that I had in their office. The one thing that I would like to highlight is when I asked him about the payment part, he very clearly told me that at the time when the consignment is packed and picked up we will have to pay 80% of the decided amount and upon delivery we will have to pay the remaining 20%. That was something good because it gave me a sense of security. He also promised me a seamless doorstep delivery process without any hassle.
I booked my slot with them with a token amount of 500 rs for 30th June, 2024. They sent me a proper mail stating all the details.
When the date came closer, I tried connecting with Venkatesh, but got no response. In the mail, two numbers were mentioned. One of Roshni from Sales team and other of Anjuth from Ground Operations. I tried connecting with Roshni, but someone called Mr. Raju picked up the call and told me that both Roshni and Venkatesh are on long leave and henceforth he will be coordinating with me.
On 29th June, I received a call from Mr. Anjuth from the Shifting team and he told me that the team will visit my house in the early morning for the packing and moving. I clearly told him that I have some concerns regarding the time slot and if it can be delayed a bit. So he told me that he will make it after 12 PM, which was very much fine with me.
Now comes the day of packing and moving, early morning I again receive a call from Anjuth that the team is on the way and will reach my place soon. I was a bit taken aback and asked him what about the time slot post 12 PM. He told be adjust because they were near to my place and it will be convenient for them if they can do it in the morning itself. I was not prepared but had to agree.
The driver Mr. Kayum Nadaf connected with me and reached my place. It was him and 2 other boys. They inspected the things and started packing. They were very good with the packing. They were also very polite and patient. The packing and other things took almost 2-2.5 hrs time. They filled the bilty and other details. Kayum Nadaf asked me to pay the 80% of the booking amount plus 800 rs for toll charges and share the screenshot with him which I did. After that they started asking for tip. My mother gave them 600 rs, 200 for each. But they were demanding for more and more. We finally had to give them 1500 rs as tip, which is a big amount I would say for a tip. After that they left with the consignment and promised me that it will take maximum of 10-12 days for the delivery of the shipment.
Now starts the worse part. On 1st July morning, I get a call from Mr. Anjuth and he tells me to clear the remaining of the booking amount. I was shocked! I told him about my conversation with Mr. Waseem and about the due payment of 20% upon delivery. But he told me that they are sending the consignment via Gati transport and not their own transport and for that the entire booking amount needs to be cleared. I was extremely disappointed but kept my calm and made the payment. Anjuth also promised me that he will be sharing the tracking details with me the very next day.
I flew back to Guwahati, Assam on 1st of July, 2024. From 2nd of July, I started following up with Anjuth and Raju for the tracking details but did not get proper response. After 2-3 days of getting no response, I called Raju and strictly told him to share the tracking details with me. Upon which he shared with me a tracking link and docket number and guess what? That docket number was wrong!
Again I had to keep following up for 2-3 more days to get the correct tracking link and consignment number. They told me that they have sent the consignment via Gati Transport but the tracking link which I have received was from some DP World Logistics.
On 9th July, the tracking link showed that the consignment has reached Guwahati and is undelivered. Then began the struggle of continuous follow ups. I kept calling, texting and mailing but hardly got any response from them. And there was no update on the tracking link, it still showed 9th July Undelivered. Mr. Raju was the only one who atleast received calls sometime and would give replies like.. okay let me look into it. Venkatesh vanished into thin air after taking the booking and Shailesh the field executive was always out of station and Anjuth would not respond to calls and messages. Don't even bother mailing them because they will not reply. Also please don't bother to call the customer support numbers because they will not pick up the calls. I had to then involve my husband to look into it because they were not taking me seriously at all. Mr. Kayum Nadaf the driver, he helped my husband get a few contacts. My husband had to make multiple phone calls and finally had to tell them that we will have to make a police complaint.
What we understood from all these is that their responsibility is to pack and load your consignment and after that their service is literally garbage.
Today on 20th July, I have finally received the consignment delivery. The delivery team only had a driver and one more boy. That boy told us that he will not be able to carry the things alone as the driver will not help. Thank God, we had someone in our house who helped the boy carry all the things to our doorstep. We again had to tip them with a 200 rs for the delivery.
My microwave oven is totally broken but now I don't even want to call them or reach out to them ever again regarding anything so I will just let it be. Anyways Mr. Waseem the manager told me on the 1st day that they do not care about the negative Google reviews and ratings.
Overall my experience has been bad and I will never recommend them for long distance movements. I once even thought that I have been cheated by them and it's a case of theft, the situation was so bad. They should really work very hard to improve the quality of their service and stop taking their customers for granted.
