I have so many expectations with this movie as it's been so much time has passed since Bollywood was released in this genre. But, after all that happened, they have done the same thing again. "Shaitaan" is a Hindi remake of a Gujarati movie named "Vash" which was released last year. As "Shaitaan" is released now that is, after the "Vash" movie, viewers going to compare this too and hence I am too.
Compared to "Vash", "Shaitaan" has a happy ending. No spoiler alert, but apart from the ending, the movie are great to watch. The thrill and of course the acting of R Madhavan is beyond imagination. Ajay Devgn was good in his role too. As a father doing everything and anything for the family reminds me of his another movie named "Drishyam".
The movie revolves around Black Magic, becoming the new God of the world and at last becoming "Shaitaan"(Demon). The concept of this movie is slow but the suspense and the excitement in every scene make me watch the entire movie. Like, there was one scene where the Police arrived at a location to investigate the situation but what happened that R Madhavan made the daughter of Ajay Devgn, named Jhanvi sit on a Gas Cylinder but have its lid open and have a match stick in her hand. This scene made my heart go up. And, also how Ajay convinces the cops to let go and that everything that's going on here is normal and just a family friend gathering is going on is a fabulous scene to watch.
After this everything some points of the movie that I like that they added just to distract the viewers or useless or out of storyline:
The concept of 108 girls sacrificing to fire to gain the power to hypnotize anyone with just eyes.
Conquering the entire world.
In conclusion, this movie was a must to watch for at least one time because of its thrill and best cinematography. The acting of every cast is good but I especially love the acting of Janki, who has played the role of daughter in the movie. Also, R Madhavan's acting, after so many years, we have seen him like this is great and surprising.
