THE HUGE PERSONALITY OF BOLLYWOOD - SRK. Review on Shah Rukh Khan

I was reading the Bombay Times today and an article climisht my eye. Since it was about my Favourite Bollywood Star, Shah Rukh Khan, I cud not resist reading the entire write-up. With a very satirical heading ‘Jisko dekho mera baap banna chahta hai’.

Before Ra-One was released, I wud scorn at the promotion shows of the movie and the amount of Ads links it had. I sincerely felt that SRK had gone berserk in throwing his money around just to promote one film and make it bigger than ‘Robot’. I had truly made up my mind that I wud not see this movie. But our @fenil_seta insisted on me watching it and circumstances took me to see the movie with my society GF’s.

Yes, it was a lavish cash film, but then if you compare it with ‘Robot’, it was better !! Truly, in the sense of a story of a man, a Father, who wanted to gain his son’s admiration, who was a genius at his work, but whose son never appreciated him. This Loving Father then went on to make a ‘Game’ for his son, which turned into a nightmare for them, when the Villain Ra-One escaped. The story was cute and interesting and the most beautiful part of it, was when the little boy, missed his father and went on to do something to save the game from becoming a Villain’s film. And the end showing U, dat, The Right Always Wins. And the son appreciated his father and valued his love for him. What a Beautiful Moral for this hi-tech film !!

Later the media and people pulled this film down and cartoons were made and circulated on FB, ridiculing SRK as a beggar on the roads after his film flopped. It’s a pity how people pull these Celebrities down and mash them to paste !! U know, dat’s why, it’s better not to be a Celebrity !! (Its better to be the ‘Lay Man’, point to be noted by ‘Someone’!!)

I then read a lot of interviews of SRK, in which he remained tough and did not break inspite of these brickbats !! (reminded me of our Mathur Saab @jmathur). He insisted that this film was for his Kids. A Gift to his Kids. The Film itself portrayed a Father’s love for his Kid. So our SRK said he cared a damn who criticized him or his film, as long as he made his kids happy. And Yes, Guys, this film is not for the Mature Adult. It will be enjoyed by our young brats in college and the kids in school. So why pull down this film, when the same media & critics ‘Rave’ about Hollywood movies like ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ & ‘Kung Fu Panda’ ??. SRK has made a typical movie for today’s kids who love games and who think that ‘To be Bad is Good’ !! Look at the Fastrack Ads which say ‘Color me Bad !!’. Dat’s the present Trend !! This is probably the ‘First’ attempt made by Bollywood to make such a hi-tech gaming film for the Kids !!

And I’m Proud of our King Khan SRK, who has done it brilliantly with a befitting Moral to the kids. Brilliant !! A True Father !! Yes, Guys, dat’s who our Bollywood King SRK is !!

Coming back to the Bombay Times write-up, in which SRK unperturbedly shakes off the critics and criticism with a strong calm mind. He quotes a beautiful instance here, telling us about his son. Quote – My son asked me this the other day at 6 a.m. “Papa, people say things about you. Don’t you get angry ? Don’t you want to beat them up?” And I said no, your father is gifted with this, that if you want to be famous, you take your dad’s name. And I said the only person I don’t want to make famous by taking my name are you and your sister. Let the rest of the world do that. And I truly mean that. I endorse so many people for free. – Unquote.

SRK, continues in his interview, to tell us another instance, where our BIG B, Amitabh Saab, told him once (Quoted) “Beta, jab stardom aati hai na, koi bhi aadmi aa kar tumko thappad mar kar chala jayega. Tum usey kuch nahin keh sakte. Kyunki agar tumne kuch kaha, toh who kahenge, ke, tum ameer ho, gareeb pe apna dum daba rahe ho. Tumne sharab pi hui hai. Tum gundagardi kar rahe ho. Tum arrogant ho. Tum apne aap ko samajhte kya ho ?” . So Amitabh Saab then advised SRK, dat the best way was to ‘To Ignore’ and become reclusive to their attacks. (something very strangely came into my mind just now & I was thinking how much of such criticism, our very own MS CEO @faisal goes through also…….poor Guy, sometimes, how we all lash out at him…..but he stays reclusive calmly. Hey Guys, I’m not lagaoing Maskha to CEO. Cattie is Frank and does not need anyone’s favors. I’m just appreciating some people for certain things).

When asked by BT reporter, as to why he (SRK) is the target of people from the guy in his com room to irked politicians!! SRK sweetly replies dis (Quoted) “ I think I invoke radical passions in people. I’ll walk out with you just now and you’ll have men, women of all nationalities, just hugging me. I think it is the same intensity on the other side. In those who don’t like my face. And I will choose to believe in the ‘Hugs’ more than the ‘Hatred’ “. WELL SAID SHAH RUKH KHAN !!

Here is a man from whom we have a lot to learn from. He rose from a small tele serial to popularity. I remember we were kids in school and used to love him in that tele serial and me Rajeev_Vermacially dream of marrying him !! hehehehehehe!!! But then he married his Sweetheart Gauri !!

SRK nowadays does a lot of Ads also and sometimes I wonder why !! But he once answered my same question posed to him on a show saying that “ I do not mind working hard or even breaking my back, as long as I do it for the sake of my Kids and their Happiness ”. WHAT AN EXCELLENT FATHER !!

Cheers to you Shah Rukh Khan. U Truly are the King Khan of Bollywood !!
