Frauds, Cheats! Stay Away! You've been warned!. Review on Shaadi

Do not, I repeat DO NOT fall into their trap. It is the biggest scam that I have come across till now. They are nothing but a bunch of cheaters who’ll promise the world to you before taking your money and as soon as you opt for the service, everything changes. I’ve lost my hard-earned money to these fraud company but I’ll try to help others to save theirs by exposing some of the marketing stunts.

I got a call from one of their marketing persons, Shailesh Tadka, for pitching their Select Shaadi service. He made a lot of promises to me which later turned out to be false. Like we’ll provide matches strictly according to your desired preferences, ex: if you want a girl of 5’3 then we’ll not provide 5’2, If you want fair, we’ll provide fair. If you want slim we’ll give you slim. Moreover, we’ll not provide those profiles whom you have already viewed on the main Shaadi app and not shown interest to. We want only a good word of mouth and nothing else. (I’ll show him the power of word of mouth now). We have more than enough profiles for your desired location(Indore in my case) which again later turned out to be a false commitment. He even told that they give their 100% for matchmaking and if they think that they are not able to perform well, then they will refund the money. I can continue stating several such false commitments.

Once the payment was done, we were asked to fill up the partner preference form. On the basis of that form, they told that they do not have very good profiles in Indore and our other stated places, so we should consider other places also. We agreed. It was agreed upon that in the initial 5 weeks they will provide profiles strictly according to our preferred places and then gradually we’ll move onto the other places. We are currently in the third week of the service. We were shocked that the profiles that are being shared are just random profiles shared only to complete their weekly targets. No match whatsoever.

The most shocking was the part when we were sent some profiles that did not even have the profile pic and their relationship manager Debojyoti told us to accept the invitation and then he’ll ask for pics from the other side. Really? Then why did you make us fill that form? When we rejected, he told us in clear terms that they do not have more profiles matching our criteria. Do you believe this? In the third week of the service! Now we are stuck and our hard-earned money is lost to these frauds. The height of irresponsible behavior is that they will not respond to your grievances. We tried to discuss the matter with Shailesh also but he simply did not respond. Probably he got his commission. We even complained to their service head regarding false commitments that their marketing person Shailesh made but we were asked to produce proofs and call recordings.

Again, do you want your customers to record every call so that it can be produced as proof later on? I have lost all the hopes of getting my money back but you have been warned. Do not fall into their traps. You’ll also end up losing your money.
