Shadi Ke Side Effects full-on paisa vasool boss! Rarely there are good movies produced, and this rom-com is one of them. Don't know what made me bunk my college early morning and the one plus one movie ticket scheme helped:) My friends and me decided that we would watch this movie and every one liked the movie.
Being a sequel to Pyaar ke side effects there were big times expectations from this movie and how good did it live up to. Even Pyaar Ke Side Effects was and well scripted movie with Rahul Bose and Malikka Sherawat.
The best part about the movie was that it didn't take much time for the audience to get settled and feel immersed into the situation.
Plot:
I would say the plot was good and it was transformed into brilliant one due the on-screen chemistry of Farhan-Vidya. The just seemed very easy acting with each other, and as already stated it didn't take much time for the audience to get settled and feel immersed into the situation.
The plot had what it needed to make it a superhit, the first half being mainly comedy with witty one-liners and quick comedy and the second half being drama. Basically scripts on marriage are either two-sided or from the feminine perspective but this one is from the masculine perspective and that's what stands out and Farhan voice-over do help to a certain extent.
The movie kicks-off with the sequence where the couple play a game in the pub, and the awesome chemistry is seen in the starting scene itself. Sid and Trisha moves beyond the bf/gf barriers and are happily married. They both are very happy with Sid immersed in his ambitious music career but this happiness was short lived once Trisha gets pregnant and the rest is SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS.
The first half is good in spite lacking plot, but the second half boils up the atmosphere and engages the audience. Such movies are either hit or flops but this one is blended well with comedy as well as drama and that helps the movie rise up.
Cast Performance: I would say that the cast was perfect considering the performance that they gave. A different flavor of Farhan and after this even he has entered the league of comedy actors. Thumbs up to Farhan for his witty one-liners with good acting. More than the one liners his chemistry was better. Vidya balan as always impress the audience with whatever she has.
A perfect get up of Vidya for just married couple and her chemistry with Farhan just helped her performance pick. Vir das too was good and being the supporting actor he did a descent job, and complimented Farhan being his close mate. The rest of the cast was descent enough.
Sound Track:
Sound tracks were average, and the Shaadi karke pachtaya song was better then the rest. The sound section was the only thing that disappointed me, but still different people have different taste so some may like it and some may not. But as far as it goes sound tracks were a bit let down, and the prequel had better tracks.
Cinematography:
There wasn't much scope into cinematography but whatever little was there was descent enough. Actually things were put into proper places considering a given situation.
There wasn't any specific reason as to why did we go for this movie, but in the end I would say we are very happy and it was a full paisa vasool movie:)
The movie was very engaging especially with those quotes and funny one-liners and the drama in the second half and considering the fact the movie duration was just perfect and wasn't too long.
After Bhaag Milkha Bhaag success and good performance by Farhan I believed that he could act very well and going out of his comfort has proved that he can be and would be the best in upcoming years. I'm a big fan of Farhan Akthar from now but not bigger than John Abraham.:P
"When I do something wrong, I say sorry to my wife. When my wife does something wrong…. I say sorry to my wife."
Conclusion: A highly recommended movie especially for bachelors who wish to see their future in advance.:P:)
A must watch for anyone and everyone.
