Nothing good about it

There is very little that separates malls from each other these days. They all follow the same basic architectural template, one that includes enormous glass facades and a very impersonal design. Select City Walk is a monstrosity of architectural unimaginative. The DLF Place Mall next door looks much better, at least as far as the facade is concerned.

The mall boasts of an impressive lineup of brands. Excluding a few upmarket brands, you can find almost everything here. The ambience is very generic. Once you are inside you can't tell which mall you are in, because it looks and feels like any other. Although, the Hanley's store is a welcome surprise. The William Penn store is also a USP. It houses Forever 21 as well, a brand that almost screams aspiration.

The worst thing about the mall is probably the food court. I have eaten there a few times, mostly because there isn't much good dining around, except the Khan Chacha outside. The food is bland and you feel like you've been ripped off.

The crowd is good, which is a saving grace. It is never empty and you don't feel like a ghost haunting the corridors like you do in so many other malls. All in all, an okay experience but if you haven't had it, you aren't missing anything.
