Established in 2007 Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine ( MIRM) has been created to transform stem cell science into reality by bringing together a group of outstanding scientists and provide an exceptional research environment. MIRM will be a world leading centre for basic stem cell biology, aiming at critical advances in the field through a program of ground breaking innovation.
This new initiative of Manipal University ( Formerly known as MAHE) is to facilitate the cutting edge research technology in Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering into delivering it in a clinical setting, a strategy commonly referred to as a bench to bedside approach.
The institute has an explicit library with good compendium of books, CDs and online access for various scientific journals published by Elsevier, Nature, Future Medicine and Stem Cells.Sophisticated equipment like flow cytometre, Fluorescence microscopes, real time PCR, Cell culture facility and other amenities complementing a range of basic sciences experimentation to clinical therapeutics are available.
