I am sorry to submit my negative reply about this school.
State Bank Officers Association Matriculation and Higher Secondary School at Anna Nagar West was one of the popular schools in Chennai and the products coming out of this School are gems.
But of late the standard has gone down and the recent product came out of this school was my uncle's son who studied there taking French as Second language.
When he was in Ninth standard he formed a friends circle who start smoking in the school campus. In the Tenth standard he rarely attended the classes and the school authorities doesn't question them for having not attended the classes. Some how he passed out of 10th and could not able to succeed Higher Secondary as the curriculum is of CBSE standard, those did not concentrate on studies could not achieve it.
The only blame is on the school authorities. Had the school warned them during their ninth standard itself, they would have attended the classes.
Earlier, only State Bank officers son/daughters were given admission and of late the school started charging donation up to 60, 000/- for an admission in the lower classes.
When the school started earning money, the grooming of pupil will automatically come down and this school is one of the example for them.
Friends, don't believe the schools just because of its name, just go through the reviews and then decide.
