Never ever get it. Review on SBI Visa Credit Card

Never ever get an sbi card. I applied for this card falling into the trap made by their lucrative promises.......... no interest for 3 months, lifetime free, high credit limit etc...etc...................

Since I did not want to pay the annual fee for my existing stanchart card, I applied for sbi card thinking that it will be free lifetime and depending on the brand name of sbi. I applied for a balance transfer also from my stanchart card. But since there was a delay in delivery of the card and balance transfer check, I paid up the stanchart balance. Then I called up their customer care representative to ask what to do with the cheque which they had sent me so late that I could not use it. He asked me to write a letter to Manager SBI, Noida and drop that letter along with the cheque into the sbi drop box, and that's what exactly I did the next day.

After some days, I got the monthly statement and sure enough, the balance transfer amount was shown in that. I again called up the customer care and complained, and they assured me to resolve the matter. Again, I got the next monthly statement in which the amount was shown along with some minor interest. I again called up and again I was assured of the resolution. This has been going on for last 4 months now and I have wasted my time and money in calling them up again and again.

Moreover, even after registering the complaint, I keep getting calls from sbi that they are sending their representative to collect the amount. Now the heights is that some sbi people even came to my home. Since I was not at home, they left their phone numbers, too.

I am regretting having applied for the sbi card, hope you don't have to.
