The best captain for Indian Team. Review on Saurav Ganguly

How can anyone not like our Indian Cricket Captain, Our very own Ganguly? I guess he is the best captain for India The amount of passion and concern he has for his team, is remarkable. As a captain, he is so damn hard pressed. The responsibility of the whole team lies on him. He has to take care of the new comers and the veterans also rely on his expertise. Being a captain means to be answerable in all aspects.

There are people who do nothing but criticize Ganguly for however the team performs. Well I ve had arguments with my colleagues and friends on this issue .I don’t like if anyone blames him unreasonably. Afterall the pressure of the whole team lies on him. Remember how Sachin`s performance started falling when he was made the captain of the cricket team. Not that I don’t like Sachin, but wanted to highlight that this happens to every the captain. Now if we start comparing him with Ricky Ponting, then we will not be doing justice. For that matter, then we should be comparing the whole Austrialian team with that of India. And India is the second best team at present.

Cricket is all about teamwork and coordination. The captain of the team can no doubt influence the whole teams performance but he is not the one who is solely responsible for the way the team performs. All he lacks is confidence (is seen biting his nails in the ground). As far as I understand, he is a pessimist by nature. If you have noticed his reactions in various games, he has an anxious look until the game is not over.

I was impressed by his gesture in yesterday`s match India Vs.Austriala.Sachin got some leg injury and so he was not able to run between the wickets, and then Ganguly volunteered to run for him. Being a captain, he could have asked some other player to do so, but hats off to his broad mindedness and devotion to the game and his team members. He has no hangups. He is all for the game. Well my prayers were answered yesterday. India won. I was more happy for Ganguly that India won.

In his recent interview with The Week magazine, Ganguly has given his view point on the new players and also has highlighted where India stands in the near future. He is giving all support and opportunity to the new players. His vision for India, is very clear. He trusts his team members potential.

So what if he looks out of place in the tv endorsements. (Especially the Sona Chandi Chavanprash AD). That’s not his job. He has a cute smile though. That is sufficient for him to flaunt in the small screen. He has a dignified yet an innocent look. He does not put deliberate effort to impress people. He is his own natural self.

Well in the end my review, all I want to say is Ganguly is the best. A message to him” no matter how you perform, you have one supporter for sure and that would be me. Try and give your best always, and please don’t chew your nails in the midst of a match, the whole world gets to know that you are tensed and nervous, and they get a chance to mock at you”
