Hello to all. Have been away from writing reviews for a long time and now as I am back would like to write something about this place Sangama and Mekedatu which I happened to visit recently.

I stay at Bangalore South and from my place where I live in the destination was just 95 Kms as per Google Maps. I am a Pro Biker hence I rode to Sangama and it barely took 1.5 hours.

Now for the people who are planning to visit this place here are some of the pointers for you.

1. This place is just 90-100 kms from Bangalore.

2.Best route is via Kanakapura road.

3. Bike and Cars both can be used as a mode of transportation.

4. Roads are 80% good and the rest are under maintenance.

5. Things to carry: An extra pair of Jeans and a Tee/Shirt in case you wanna play in water and get wet. A towel and preferably a Waterbottle to keep yourself hydrated.

6. There will be to forest toll points where they will charge 10 rupees per Two-wheeler and 30 rupees for 4 wheeler.

Sangama is the place which two rivers Akravati and Kaveri Meet. The place looks amazing wherein you can clearly make out different watercolors of the two rivers. At the entrance, there is a Restaurant named Sangama wherein the Restroom Facilities are available. Now after having a proper view of Sangama one needs to cross the meeting point or Sangama via round Boats known as the "CORACLE". They will charge INR 50 per person for crossing to the other shore.

Now, this is very important the person who will be handling the CORACLE might show you true colors by just spinning the CORACLE rapidly. It's again your wish to take that as fun or just say not to it. Also, you may be asked to pay an extra amount for that joy ride that you can avoid with a smile as that is not mandatory.

Once you are the opposite side there will be a Bus which will take you to MEKEDATU which is around 4-5 km from the starting point. The fare will be INR60 per person. Once the bus arrives at MEKEDATU you will be allowed to have a proper view of the immense force of water through the narrow passage of rocks for about 15-20 mins. The same Bus will take you back to the starting point that is SANGAMA.

Now you guys will be having your own time to enjoy in the water. Anyone can carry Homemade food and have lunch beside the SANGAMA banks. Make sure to tackle the MONKEYS as they will try to snatch any food they see in your hand.

Do not try to go too deep into the water as it is not allowed and also due to the presence of CROCODILES. Also, you will be always under the eyes of the guards.

The same INR 50 CORACLE will be valid for your back journey to the main entrance end. Once you are done with all the sightseeing you may enjoy some delicious FISH FRY which will be cooked just in front of you and will be served hot.

I have had much fun over there. Here I will be uploading some of the snaps of my trip. You guys can check them out and surely can make your own minds for the trip. Cheers!
