It's was Just Four months into using my Samsung Galaxy S , that I found that Android 4.0 ICS update was not coming to the my Brand New Phone and was really pissed and I knew it will happen to any Android phones due to heavy customization , which made it dependable on Phone Manufactures , rather then OS Developers for upgrades . One fine day I was able to use Dell Windows Phone and I completely fell in love with the operating system , it was smooth and better touch interface then Android , but I was worried about lack of apps , but a quick search in Market place and I was able to find all the apps , which I was using on my Samsung Galaxy S , and I was frustrated over phones freezing and other issues with Android , so I sold it to my friend for a good price and decided to buy Stock powered Windows Phone 7 , so I choose Samsung omnia w over Nokia lumia 710 , due to better battery and front camera and the best part Amoled Screen.

Availability : First I couldn't find it in local store , since it was not available with local Samsung distributors and I had to order online for a good price of just 16200 and phone was amazing its social integration was good .

Design : it was a good design and 3.7 Amoled was just awesome , I liked it since I was used to Amoled in my Galaxy S . and unlike my previous Galaxy S , if fitted in my hands perfectly and I never felt the fear that I might drop it , which I always had with Galaxy S due to its 4.0 inch screen and I never knew that just .3 inch difference is like sky and earth in your hands .

Camera : i found camera to be much better and response to start and click was much faster I even compared it with my friends Galaxy S Phone (Previously owned by me ) and Flash was a bonus and I was able to click pictures at night , with much better results . and most interesting part was that the front camera is so good in skype and other video calls that I made , that every one noticed the good quality and appreciated it .

APPS : i was able to most of my Games and other Apps in the Market place , but two things which topped my list and was missing was Opera Browser and Skype on Windows Phone 7 , but it was for a brief before Skype was available and video calls on Skype were amazing due to better front camera , only thing I miss is opera on my mobile and I am pretty much covered in my needs for Apps , I could recommend Windows Phone 7 only for those who are not much bothered of apps , but want great looking OS and better social integration and emails .

Bugs : For first few months I never noticed it , but I soon found that when 3G Data mode is ON , I am not able to send any Text message . I did usual procedure of resetting the phone but after lot of time on my mobile I was able to figure out the problem caused by text messages not going and the culprit was 3G binaries of Samsung and not Windows phone 7 OS , after I contacted Samsung Toll Free , they told me to take the Phone to ASP , and get it fixed by OS reloading , but I simply didn't had time to visit Samsung ASP and just kept my 3G data off when Texting and in April 2012 , mobile got a firmware update by Samsung which I carried out through Zune and the bug was fixed in this update and I was happy that Samsung fixed this issue before it bugged lot of omnia w users :)

LACK of Bluetooth FTP : At first I was worried of not able to use my phones Bluetooth for file transfers but I really never felt the need for that even once , so I am ok on that front , but I could like that feature in windows phone 8 upgrade in future .

Battery : 1500 MaH battery is good and after some changes in setting I was able to use it for 18 -20 hours in full charge with moderate 3G usage and Music and Games in a day .

Zune : I am happy that Zune will no longer be in Windows Phone 8 and will be replaced , I am not happy nor sad about Zune usage for transfers , but I hate Zune player in Mobile which totally lacks any setting for Equalizer , but I am ok with music quality .

Better Browsers Needed : IE9 is a good browser , but lack of mobile browsers like opera and Firefox makes internet experience on phone little difficult , since you are not able to use your favorite mobile browser and IE even on PC was not my favorite .

Bing is a DUD : Default search engine Bing is a dud and lack of customization hurts , since Bing might be good for users in USA , but not for Indian user .

Dedicated Camera key : Camera key is a plus point in all windows phones this it is a mandatory requirement for all windows phone 7.

Conclusion : I am pretty happy with the Windows phone 7 OS , it is way better then Android any given day in terms of touch response and multitasking and smoothness and comparable to IOS 5 , but some lack of features needs to be sorted out to make people feel proud of the their phone and I am hoping that windows phone 8 update will sort this issues in future.
