PATHETIC Experiences with Samsung Z Flip Mobile
Hi Greetings! I am very upset and sad to give this feedback regarding my problematic Samsung Flip mobile, though it is under warranty.
1. I purchased Samsung F700 Galaxy Z Flip mobile from Poorvika, Tambaram Chennai on 21 Aug 2020 by paying Rs 108000/ in one payment. After meagre usages within 8 months, the display had multiple lines in the folding area and also had Green based multiple colors on display.
2. Subsequently I handed over the mobile to Samsung Tambaram Service centre for the needful solutions. As the high end mobile went unusable within a short period I approached Samsung support for:-
a] Refund after deducting 8 months usage charge or
b] Replacement with a new mobile of same version or higher version by charging a difference in cost.
However I was denied and finally Display was changed to a new one and given with one year free extended warranty with great struggles, that too holding my mobile at SC for 4+ months, due to Lockdown and Non availability of spares [May to Aug 2021].
Received mail content is appended here;-
{Your SM-F700FZKDINU is still in warranty and as such the necessary repairs will be conducted on free of cost basis. Also, as a goodwill gesture, we would like to offer 12 months warranty extension on the said product. We assure to give you the best possible solution in any manner}
3. Now on 7 Feb 22 after 5 months of usage, once again Display was seen with multiple lines in the folding area and half the screen into Green and the remaining half into black. When I approached the service centre, I was denied stating that your mobile can't be covered with warranty due to the bleeding of Mobile. I didn't understand the technical term of "bleeding", and the reasons. My point is the Display went Off having multiple lines in the folding area and screen went into two colors, Green and black like earlier. It may be due to Product issues as it happened twice within the span of 10 months. The denial of warranty may be due to prestige issues faced by the service team was forcibly asked to give one year extended warranty on Goodwill.
4. Once again I approached Support Team for the justifications they repeatedly denied{Total 20+ mails}to service the mobile under warranty as this Mobile had an “External Impact” by saying that I have to bear the spare & service cost. I don’t understand how a folded mobile can receive an impact that too affecting only the FOLDING AREA, not anywhere of the display. When the same fault occurred first time, it was covered under warranty however with second time I am denied. Is it due to that Samsung Support forced the SC to give one year extended warranty?
As of now Samsung customer support and SC Chennai refused{received the denial mail twice} to consider my a/m requests, I request you all kindly{R} kindly NOT to buy any version of Flip mobile from Samsung. You may buy any other mobile from Samsung.
{I am satisfied with my other Samsung products like Curved 55 inch TV, DD Fridge any other version of mobiles for the last 15 years}
Now as I have lost already Rs 1,08000/, I felt to caution other people for not to get trapped & cheated by Samsung on this product.
Further, I don’t understand what to do as the said mobile is still with SC. Kindly advice me.
