The Samsung Galaxy M01 launched earlier in June and to say the phone is disappointing will not be a stretch by any measure. The starting price of the M01 is set at Rs. 8, 999 which makes it fall under the budget segment. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 439 which is quite shocking because Samsung and Qualcomm both are not known for backing low-end phones. And herein lies the problem. With so many better options in the market like Redmi and Realme which are available under 10k, the Galaxy M01 simple doesn’t offer enough. The new smartphone comes with a 5.71-inch touchscreen display and a 4000mAh battery. However, this does not seem to help with very quick power drainage. Especially while gaming, as the Snapdragon chipset is not very well equipped to handle the heating issues being an older version.
The Galaxy M01 sports a dual camera setup at the back with a 13- megapixel primary sensor along with the accompanying 2- megapixel sensor. For selfies, it comes with a 5- megapixel front camera.
What is disappointing is the Samsung could have very well fixed all these issues and come out with a very decent smartphone that gave value for the money. Anyone would prefer to buy Realme or an Infinix phone as they offer much better processing and more relevant technology for a budget price.
