Value for Money:

Samsung has always offered phones which do not compete effectively in terms of price to performance ratio with its competitors. But this is not the case with Samsung Galaxy J5. Lets get started:

1. Camera:

The 13MP rear camera is really good for capturing good bright images as the wide f/1.9 aperture allows the phone to absorb good amount of light. The front facing camera of 5MP comes with a flash . This front facing flash helps in taking bright and clear selfies even at night.

2. General Performance:

The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 CPU along with  1.5GB RAM and sports Android Lollipop 5.1.1. The performance is totally lag free unlike previous samsung smartphones and offers good multi tasking capabilities. The device comes with good RAM Management and optimised software for the hardware that the phone has.

3. Design and Build Quality:

The phone sports a 5 inches 720p Super Amoled display that offers great visibility even in direct sunlight. The sides of the phone have a fake metallic finish which gives the phone a premium feel. The phone is lightweight around 142 grams and does not feel heavy in the hand. The back of the phone is made in plastic and it could easily survive several drops with any hint of scratches or tear.

4. Gaming

The phone can play any game you throw at it including heavy games like Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5 and Fifa 15. The only downside is the limited internal storage that the phone has. With only 8GB internal memory, you have to limit the number of games that you can store and play on your device. For Heavy end games, keeping the graphics at Maximum can cause lags and occasional frame drops. So, it is advised to keep the settings at Medium.

Final Verdict

The phone offers great value for money and also offers a peace of mind after you buy it due to the reputation and amount of service centres that Samsung has. The phone has a great battery that could easily last for a couple of days with average use and does not exhibit any sort of lag or over heating issues. My vote is Buy.
