A over priced average phone. Review on Samsung Galaxy J5 - 6 (2016 Edition)

I am using Samsung Galaxy j5 - 6(2016) since October 2017. Now I will share my 7 months experience with this phone. There are some good points and some bad points of this phone.

All the points are following.

Pros -

1. Display - Samsung is using a super amoled 720p display. The display quality is good. there are so issue with this 5.2 inch sAmoled display.

   
   




2. Build Quality - The build quality is good. I am getting a metal frame around this phone which protects it from heavy drop. I dropped my phone so many times but it ended up with some minor scratches. So, there is no issue with build quality.

   
   




3. Battery Backup - I am getting an impressive battery backup with this device. It lasts for one day after moderated use. So, there is no complain about the battery backup.

   
   




4. Camera performance - The cameras on this device is really very good. Both the cameras takes very impressive pictures with f/1.9 aperture lenses. Front camera is a wide angel camera so there is no issue while taking selfies.

   
   

Cons -

1. Touch Pad - The touch response on this device is very average. I am feeling a major lag in touch response while playing any kind of game. It irritates me a lot.

   
   




2. Heating issue - This device gets warm really quickly. I can't play any game or watch movie for a long period of time. Sometimes it gets unbearably warm which irritates me while using this device.

   
   




3. Price - I must say it is a very over priced phone. I bough this device for 1250 INR but that was a mistake. A snapdragon 410 chipset and 2 gb of ram is just not justifying the price.

   
   




4. Updates - I am not getting regular updates and security updates on this device. I am using 5 months old security patch level till now. Although I got nougat update but monthly OTA update is missing which disappointed me.

   
   




5. Cellular call quality - The cellular call quality is not up to the mark on this device. It always shows 2 or 3 bars of signal where other device is showing full signal. Call drops again and again because of this poor cellular call quality.

   
   




6. Missing sensors - This device is missing so many sensors like ambient light sensor, compass, gyro sensor and a finger print sensor. This is very disappointing.

   
   

At the end I have to say, There are so many products in this price bracket. Please don't go for this one.
