Samsung is a well know brand and known for its customer service. With this in mind, I bought the microwave from them.
Recently, on of the hinge of the door of the microwave broke off. This could have happened only due to manufacturing defect as the door was never banged against anything.( else there would be visible markes of banging).
The samsung engineer who attended, broke open the door further by breaking more hinges. When I questioned him, he said it had to be done to examine. '
He then had me take photos of the completely bokedn door and send to his associate using whatsapp. He then mentioned that it would cost me. I also mentioned that it was under warranty and, again reiterated, it would have broken due to the flimsy attachment during manufacture.
Nevertheless, he said he would revert with an estimate. Although a week passed, I did not hear back. When I called the service centre I was shocked to know that the case was closed as, I did not agree with the estimate. Long story short, one should not forgive samsung not only due to the false report filed by the engineer. but also the wrong ethics followed by the company.
EVEN IF NOT INFORMED, WHY DID THEY NOT CALL ME FOR FEEDBACK?. This clearly shows that not only the concerned engineer but the department itself is hand in glove while selling such faulty products and trying to pass the buck to customer. SAMSUNG truly has been a big letdown!.Do avoid. . Do reply back if you need my contact details for more clarity on this
