Kudos to the director who has the imagination to pull of a sequel which is better than part I.  The royalty politics of UP is well sketched and potrayed through the locale, lingo and laudable performances by the characters in the movie.

Aditya ( Jimmy Shergill ) wants to call the shot in his region despite being stripped of the title of Raja, with a crippled wheel chair type of existence.   His wife Madhavi ( Mahi Gill ) despite being an MLA is a puppet in the hands of her husband Aditya.   How she changes colour from a drunken monk to a shrewd politician under the tutleage of a Gangster ( Irfan Khan ) is the jist of the movie.

Ranjana ( Soha Ali )  is a lover of the Gangster who is seeking to win back his lost empire of his domain. The dialouges of the movie is penned appropriately to exhibit the era and region.  When politicians are involved in a movie there is bound to be some gory blood shed and action, but thankfully there is not much of  dishum dishum but plenty of gun wielding characters in the movie. Apart from serious conspiratory politics, the audience is dished out plenty of humour with CM dabbling with his Laptop watch blue clippings, but unable to shut down when required.  He calls for help from his secretary time and again.

An item number of Mudga Godse adds some flesh to the movie with some rollicking love making scenes too. The movie moves like a cloak and dagger show with twists and turns making it mixture of arty and commercial movie. I liked the entire feel of the movie and the director has definitely left a scope for the third series, which may be better and bigger in the making.   Raj Babbar pulls off a surprising cameo of sorts with his UP background. Watch this movie for the sheer politics of  UP at its best.
