We had ordered home delivery orders from Sagar Ratna Old Rajinder Nagar Branch a few times earlier, the orders were basically the sunday meal combos and they were pretty basic because usually the food was cold and the rava kesari had grime in it. So on the 21st of October, 2015 we were celebrating the last day of navratri as a family and had prepared many dishes at home, all we needed were tandoori rotis(20 in number) and a dal makhani( 1 in number) and since some of the other popular places in rajinder nagar were not open, we decided to order from sagar ratna.
Food Price- They charge Rs 30 for 1 tandoori roti and Rs 175 for a dal makhani. These rates are exorbitant for the level and standard of this restaurant. Honestly, I have not heard of a Rs 30 plain roti in such a mediocre restaurant. So the pricing is surprising and basically I think they are cheating the customers. The total amount came to Rs 961 which is shocking for such a small order!
Food Quality- Oh my God! The food quality was absolutely atrocious. The rotis and dal makhani were cold. The quantity of dal makhani was very limited as the small size container was only half full and worst of all it was too salty. They sent the dal makhani in the small container in which coconut chutney is sent when we order south indian food from here.
Service and Delivery- The food was delivered at 11:05 pm, about 1 hour after calling. Also when I called the restaurant to complain, they had a casual attitude and were rude, they put me on hold for 10 minutes and then said that the manager is eating his dinner and cant come to the phone. They also said that we can't do anything about the quality and pricing, call the main customer care people. And if you want to go to consumer court, go ahead.
I am absolutely disappointed with sagar ratna, rajinder nagar so much so that I have stopped ordering from here all together. I would suggest other customers to think twice before ordering from here especially north indian food because it is absolutely pathetic!
