The film Saamy is an eye-opener police also. Perhaps a lot of things are pending to be learnt from the movie. Thank you Kavithalaya!!
1) In the function that Vikram addresses in the college, he would say 'I like the girls of Tirunelveli, because, even the way they open the umbrella, is like flashing the aruval(knife) out. He was in fact praising the bravery of the girls there, which is very mandatory to put a period to eve-teasing and other related menace.
2) During the communal riots, instead of succumbing to the rival communities' demands, Vikram would retreat to the police van, take out the bottles, stones etc (similar to what the communal violence creators do) and he would say 'I am not a fool to wait for orders to just make a dummy shoot before the knee, get my people get killed in arson. I know how to counter-attack the violence and trouble creators and gheroh on them'. Perhaps some of these may seem to like abetting going against the law and order. But when seen in good spirit, in fact, it is a highly praiseworthy thing.
3) At the start of the film, while addressing his parade, he would say 'He was not just police. But porukki(the rogue). ''. Stunned at his orders like get all details of lodges, medical houses etc, when his friend commented that it all looked like 'MISA' (Maintenance of Internal Security Act), he replied the word 'SAMI' spelt as 'MISA' in reverse (in Tamil).
All along the film, the swiftness, the deligence, the courage and the intelligent moves taken by Vikram is really praiseworthy and the law authorities should take efforts in emulating the same.
Perhaps Kavithalaya should be whole-heartedly praised for the really eye-opener film, that has been brought out. Great Work,Kavithalaya team. Keep it up!!!
P.S.: I have attempted to translate the dialogues into English for all to understand. However I have given the equivalent Tamil in italics.
