Caution: what follows below is a brutal review, but the experience we had totally warrants such brutality.
My mom and I were to leave to Shirdi at 10 AM on June 29th. At 8 PM on June 28th, just hours before departure, we receive information that the bus has been canceled and that we're to travel on another bus at 12 PM on the 29th. Cool, we agreed to it and got to the pickup point at 11.15AM as instructed. At 12.10PM(10 mins past scheduled departure), the bus was nowhere in sight. The rude gentleman at the kiosk refused to even take off his earphones to answer my queries regarding the bus. The bus arrived at 1 PM, an hour late, and departed at 1.30PM.
Instead of trying to make up for lost time, the driver seemed to be in no hurry whatsoever. There were random 20 min breaks in the middle of nowhere. One wait in particular, was for 45 minutes, as the driver waited for TWO customers who were supposed to get on the bus. This was a severe inconvenience to many women on board, including my mom, who were looking for a break at a proper rest area with a bathroom.
He stopped for meals at odd times, lunch break at 5 PM, and dinner at 11.30PM. Somehow during these rest breaks, the driver had epiphanies that he was behind schedule and would hurry up everyone within 15-20 mins, giving no one the time to have a decent meal. We finally reached Shirdi at 9.15AM, as opposed to the scheduled 5 AM arrival. Everything about this journey, right from the choice of movie, to breaks and time management, seemed to be designed to make every customer uncomfortable and pissed off. For the money they charge, their service was beyond disgusting.
They really need to get their act together. I would not recommend even worst enemies to travel SRS.
