I never used RE before and booked new classic 500 in Dec 24th and got in hand on 10th Feb 10. It was first time to ride the Royal Enfield bike and little curious how it would feel like. I have driven this bike for almost 3000 km in two months till date and had two servicing done by authorised workshop. I have few observations about bike.
this is eye turner bike from all segments due to its colour, low thumping.
old bullet lovers hate this bike ... reason it does not give old thumping..... so they hate it.
I got good mileage around 32 / ltr in city.
4.drive your way in crowded traffic and you will be at ease.
- Steady drive on road with 110 km/hr.
Remember this bike is not for sport loving people. it runs like hell but do not use its power to show off to some other people as it has some limitation when you apply breaks. It is heavy bike - 178 kg, when you apply break while you are driving careless with higher speed, it would take you down as any other heavy bike will do.
So far bike is running well and no problems have occurred. Noise is very low and it complies with Euro 4. We can change its Silencer and fix company provided different silence but it is supposed to be used in country side and not in city.
Good bike for bike lovers, go for it.
