Frst of all I am not a bullet fan but have respect for all types of motorcycles. To be practical I felt the classic model was quite short( note: my height is 5foot10inches). I could neither feel the thump of a RE as I accelerated I got enormous vibrations directly to my hands. I was feeling something would come apart. Then test drove the electra model.
I could feel some thump which was nice and the vehicle felt taller. I felt good in electra than the classic model. Handle vibrations are also less in electra. Though I couldnt feel the great pulling power which is said to be torque nor could I feel confidence in braking . Like we downshift and raise in normal bikes for sudden power for overtaking, I didnt feel its possible in bullets.
Because its power delivery is in the lower band and as u raise more the vibrations grow harder but the speed increases very slowly. But in highway for cruising constantly at around 80kmph this would be an awsome option for comfort and ride. Overall I feel its a vehicle for long highway rides and not for speed enthusiasts. No offence towards bullet owners and lovers, this is just my feeling. I didnt feel the heftiness of the vehicle though as I weigh a quintal:p . waiting period in noida is 4 months for both variants.
It was a good experience I have never driven an RE before:D
