Another south Indian movie (Telugu smash hit VIKRAMARKUDU [2006]) remake, which has already been declared the blockbuster movie on the very first day itself with a collection of 17 crore. After the success of Wanted, Prabhudeva is back as a director this time with Mr.Khiladi which plays a moochwala cop and Dabanng girl (or should I say women) Sonakshi Sinha. There has been comparison with Dabangg and Singham, but both of them are completely different with what you will see in Rowdy.
In this 129 minute movie, the first half is filled with a bit of Akki 's cheap jokes which most of them you would be already familiar with. The second half of the movie make a bit sense and keeps you tight as the story unfolds filled with violent actions with a pinch of mixed emotions.
Akki - No doubt he was best in action, and he is still best in action. Here you will see him with a combination of both comedy and action form in which he is already the best at. Casted in a double role -- one as a cop and the second one as a petty thief. As Shiva, he entertains the masses, whereas as Vikram Rathod, he aims at serious movie lovers.
Naseer has done wonderful job as a negative character in this movie. For those of you who don't know him. Remember, Siraj bhai - in the movie Chachi 420? . Even though he has done full justice to his character, Prakash Raj could have been done much better.
Now a bit of questionnaire:
Does the movie have a bit of sensible storyline? Yes, it has.
Has that been presented or elaborated in an acceptable manner? No. But editing is better than Rockstar, that's for sure.
Indeed, the movie is filled with violence where a guy gets stabbed in the mouth, a head's crushed on a rock etc wherein you might feel that it’s a copy of dabangg. Even the oddy location of bihar would make you think of Dabangg movie set.
Some of the most unbearable moments of Rowdy Rathod:
Bharti (Comedy Circus) aka Lalli dances better than Sonkshi . I bet.
Akki 's trend of cheap jokes continues.
When Akki went unconscious during a fight with some gundas, the director uses google earth, zooms out till we see the cloud, and suddenly it starts raining and there we go, Akki is back with full of energy again. Man, this is crazy.

Sonakshi was gorgeous but useless. The movie could also have been done without her.
Sajid-Wajid Music is good, lyrics are ok. Songs are not catchy but good. The movie is a perfect blend of toxic waste of entertainment, action and comedy.
In short, (Dabanng)^-2 - Singham = Rowdy Rathod
It's MASS MOVIE, NOT CLASS so go if you can whistle and clap.
