Insult of yours being its audience. Review on Rowdy Rathore

Our Indian producers and directors r more like dogs or flies who keep on sniffing for some success formula and can go to any low to earn quick buck...be it by copying any successful movie frame by frame or put as much as dirty things to score on the negative aspects of our personality. Post Dabang, this has become a trend to copy Dabang style. However, Dabangg despite of being purely masala entertaining movie, was way better than these mindeless lowd Singham or Rathods . After watching Rowdy I had only choicest of abuses to give on this movie. This is one of the cheapest quality movies I have watched this year and felt that I insulted myself by opting for this one.

The movie has tried to make a mix of several successful cop movies especially Gangajal and Dabangg, using proven success record of Bihar-UP background for all masculine movies. But the maker completely ignores or perhaps insults the intelligence of everyone who were involved with those movies..from their directors to their audience. Though Gangajal and Dabangg are way apart movies in their genre, both are considered top class because the directors were smart enough for detailing and minutest of nuances. They had cause to show why Sadhu Yadav was such a big monster by manipulating the seats in government and same there in Dabangg with Chedi Singh, having hand in youth politics. But here, the villain has got 20 men to boast his power and call himself most powerful...so much that a single man enters in home every time and thrashes him and his chelas on his will ..the same 20 get thrashed every time at every different locations from Bihar to Bombay and one keeps on thinking why this idiot Rathod is doing so much hardwork when at the end he has to kill this villian who only yells and gets thrashed thereafter..whose power only is shown by using abusive dialogues against the ladies and kids. In midway some netaji appears every time and escapes after seeing 5 laathis.

Bunch of south Indian actors have been hired, background used is Bihar, and south Indian actors as well as Akshay kumar are totally helpless in delivering the exact Bihari lingo which Ajay Devgun and Salmaan Khan gave with such an elan. The director has forgotten all history geography, politics and characters appear between Bombay and Bihar like as if both are neighbouring regions. Same 20 lathkhod goons, same the idiot villain boss appear in Bihar as well as Bombay. Sonakshi Sinha all of sudden arrives in the rustic village.

The heroine's parents come in a sedan to meet a thief Shiva and agree to marry her with this thief, ..mind it its their first meeting. The villain characters are like those playing the roles of some retard Rakshasas roles in Ram Leela or some nautanki, so loud and unable to deliver even a single dialogue properly and always yelling. Bloody someone tell them how much cold blooded are the actual villains from Bihar...your head is chopped till it falls and sees its torso separated! The best example is the recent sensational murder of Ranvir Sena's chief. The villains there are much much brainy than just being browny. No doubt the brown and gun fires are there enormous but it is equally ruled by brains...something wel reflected in better movies like Apaharan, Gangajal or Raajniti...or in coming time with Gangs of Wasseypur.

Since the director has no head to justify a strong villain, scenes with villains are forcibly constructed with tonnes of vulgar dialogues without any head or leg...so much that its beyond the limits of vulgarity and certainly can't b watched with your family ..if you don't consider them dumb. The director in fact seems to have obsession with sick mentality and finds some thrills in pervert activities and lewd things....otherwise he would not have added such derogatory scenes and dialogues for married women and even a girl child (especially considering the fact that this one has been intended puerly as an entertainment movie which people wish to watch with close friends and families). There is a lots of difference between suggestive and spitting crude raw things without mental balance. I have lost all respect for Prabhu Deva and Akshay Kumar after this movie and perhaps this will be my last movie for Akshay whom I loved as a great actor for his movies like Sangharsh, Sipahi, Khiladi, Tu Khiladi Main Anadi, Mohra etc.

There is nothing to write good about direction techie or songs. On every front, the movie is damn loud, cheap and third rate. Go switch on Hindi movie channels on your TV and u will find some channels playing dubbed Telugu movies like Yamraj ek Faulad, Sabse Bada Rakhwala, deva-A Tiger etc..where the actors act like jokers, every characters are extreme and extremely loud, there is not head or tail of storyline, girls r just sex seductress and songs are like if some donkey itself has become the music director and singer. Ditto here is with Rowdy Rathod...the Telugu impact is clear.

Finally, I was compelled to think that how come one could recommend such a cheap quality movie...I can understand recommendation by critics which are today managed well by the makers and stars to ensure good business but how come the audience. Have they lost their sense for good movies? This is certainly a big question as they were the last respite for true guidance.

I strongly discourage you from watching this movie and feel the jerk. Better go for really good one like Shanghai or wait the grand 22nd June with Gangs of Wasseypur. This one is a sheer insult to the intelligence of the audience, even if you consider the cinematic liberty of this genre of cinema.
