Purchasing a new mascara can be really easy or tough depending on the effort you're willing to put into it.Some of us(like moi) tend to pick up the first one in front of our eyes, while others opt for the flashiest one(ahem, ahem 'Lancome Oscillation').Then there a few ladies(or gentlemen) out there who research the formula, brush, brand, etc. before buying a single tube of mascara.Fortunately for those of us who are short on cash(or 'broke' as is commonly now termed),Rimmel London offers a wide selection of mascaras out of which we can pick the type we want depending on the occasion and lash-effect we may wish to achieve.
That being said, this isn't a mascara I would 'ooh' & 'ahh' about to my friends or even my mother. Please do bear in mind that I have tried other Rimmel mascaras before this,so I'm not stating that this product is bad in general, but rather it isn't as good compared to other mascaras produced by the same brand.
The packaging is minimal, yet eye catching in sleek black with silver letterings over it.The little piece of information given on the tube of the mascara states,"Builds a natural to dramatic look.Super lash separation.Suitable for sensitive eyes.Ophthalmologically tested.".The colour I purchased this was in 'Black'.The brush is certainly ' strange looking' with one side of it slightly curved and tapered towards the end. This peculiar design does help in opening the eyes, but the difference is very subtle and one will only notice it after switching from a straight shaped mascara wand to this one.The formula is a bit thick which aids in making the lashes look thicker than they actually are,but adding layers definitely results in clumping. This product does give you both, long and thick lashes...........................but unlike other Rimmel mascaras, this doesn't give you luscious or fluttery eyelashes.Makeup beginners who are new to using mascaras would enjoy this product, since they can achieve a bit of length and volume with this, whilst giving themselves a dramatic but not 'trampy' look(unless they overdo it and get their lashes clumped together.).
One tube contains 8 ml of product and costs R.O. 2.750 i.e. Rs. 275,so 'trying out' this mascara won't break your bank.
Final grade- B-,not bad but not great either.
