Royal Ambience Many years back I had organised a Translator Meet in Residency Resorts, Delhi. Though it turned out to be quite expensive, I found the place very attractive, surrounded as it is by the typical Delhi green wildernesses. It has the red brick look typical of posh Delhi and I hear that ex-Defence personnel have a hand in running it. It does breathe some bureaucracy!
If one had the money, it would surely be a lovely place to enjoy a stay. At least one of our members did choose accommodation there and so I got a peek at one room.
Catering The items served were wonderful although, being the organiser, I had hardly any time to feast. There are three restaurants within the complex.
The Hall Spacious and regal, the conference space was well worth the expense. They have three halls of 75 pax, 20 pax & 16 pax capacity and a centrally air-conditioned Auditorium for 300 pax.
Activities Besides indoor games like rooftop chess, billiards, table tennis, they offer badminton and have a gym.
Accommodation They have standard and deluxe rooms and standard and deluxe apartments as well as a rooftop hut and super deluxe apartment.
Alas I read that it is not so well maintained these days. Moreover, such places are very costly. Comparatively, in Malaysia, for example, you can get great hospitality without hurting your wallet that much!
