Hello friends!! Its been quite some time that I ve written a review. Reasons for it is Lack of time Shortage of interesting topics Laziness But I never discontinued to read reviews. I always made it a point to check the website once in 2-3 days to see whats new and to see what is hot in the website. But last week, I determined that I should write at least one article just to remind people that I exist in some part of the world.
Now the issue was, what should I write on?? There was nothing as interesting happening on which I could write. But finally the last 2 consecutive Sundays helped me find the topic I wanted to write on. The moment I saw this episode of gRendezvous with Simi Garewalh in which the guest was Rekha, it just struck me that I could write a review on this.
This was a chance to know about the glamourous woman on whom there have been so many rumours and stories. She was a mysterious woman for all of us. Her silence and recluse has always made people more inquisitive about her.
There is a Rekha who is a loner, who has regret in her eyes, who is not the kinds as she tried to portray in this show. No matter how bold and frank she tried to look, but her eyes expressed it all. She was speaking in a very funny accent, which was not at all audible. She was blushing and was concious with no rhyme or reason.
Though she has a good sense of humour. She came up with few one-liners of and on in the show. But she did not match the expectations that I had from her. The glamour and the sensation that she portrays are all just to show the world. She was trying to justify the stand that she took, for the situations she has gone through. All she kept saying about herself is that gRekha does not need words to expressh , gRekha does not have to talk to a person to know a personh gShe has the eyes to communicateh.
Ya, I guess she is right. Her eyes expressed that whatever she was saying was not true. She was trying to hide her true self. Not that she is obliged to say truth and only the truth to this world and in a mere TV show, but still she could have presented it in a better way, rather than completely denying on certain issues. When the question of her relationship with Mr.Bachchan was thrown to her, she did not know what to answer. She completely denied it. But at the same time, she came out with a statement that Mr.Bachchan is such a person, that the whole world would fall for him. She also admitted that she is deeply in love with him, but again with this, she blurted that she does not have to meet him to love him.
That he is all over in her heart and mind. That even a glance of his, is sufficient for her to survive. She calls Jaya Bachchan as Didi Bhai and kept saying that Didi Bhai is a very strong person and is broad enough to not doubt her husband.
The very reason that she kept herself away from media, was because of her relationship with Big B. She did not bother to answer Simifs question on the reason that her husband Mr.Mukesh Agarwal committed suicide. She somehow managed to come out of the topic. Well come to think of it, I sometimes feel that it is not her fault. She has gone through so much in her life. Her childhood has been so strained. Her relationship with her father has been very strained.
Till date they have not spoken to each other. All I could understand about Rekha, is that she is a very emotional, sensitive and a shy person. I donft know what more to write about the show. Overall it was a decent show. It was the first time that she had agreed to come to a talk show.
