I did a mistake by not bothering to check out the mouthshut reviews for Reliance money before deciding to open a trading and demat account with them.
Worst service I have ever come across. The following sequence would summarize what horse-shit Reliance money is
1) Representative bugs me almost everyday for the proof documents(i didn't have some of them, so I had asked him to come later and collect). He says that there is some corporate offer wherein I just need to pay Rs. 500 overall(Rs. 0 for account opening+ Rs. 0 for first year maintenance charges+ Rs. 500 which is the cost of brokerage). He says that this special scheme is gonna end by 1st Jan 2008 and finally gets the better of me and manages to get all my proof documents as on 29th December
2) Then I come to know that the stupid representative has not even submitted my appln form along with the proof documents to his office. He casually does it on 7th January. At least that's what I heard from'em.
3) Then comes the time for the Future group and Reliance Power IPO's and I call them up to solicit the status. They first say that it is possible for them to generate DP id in a matter of few days and that should enable me to apply for IPO. Thinking that to be true, I call them up to get the DP id only to find that nothing actually happens.
4) So the process continues to get delayed and I don't get the proper response from them on my queries on the status of the application
5) One fine day I get a reply from customer support saying this crap:- "This is to inform you that your application form got rejected and sent back to Hyderabad branch on 11th. January, 2008 as “In person verification” stamp is required on the form." I don't know what the hell this means.
6) Then I get really pissed off and I shout at them and they agreed to refund 500 bucks in some five damn working days. They asked me if they could push further to process the application. I said enough of it, you first give me my 500 bucks. I don't want any relationship with you.
So my current status is, waiting for the credit of 500 rupees. God knows when I will get that.
THEME: Reliance money sucks. Any other broker service but not reliance money please. And all this without even getting to use the service and I have heard and even in this forum I get to know that their online service is very pathetic.
A strict NO-NO for this useless product.
