Reliance Postpaid Sucks!


My experience with Reliance was bad.


Sunday: 8:00 PM


I filled in the Application


Monday: 8:00 PM


I collected the handset and the postpaid starter kit. I was told it will be activated 9 PM.


Tuesday: 6:00 AM


As given in the kit, I dialed their activation number and switched of the mobile for 15 minutes. I didn't receive any SMS as mentioned. But IVR told me it was activated


Tuesday: 10:00 AM


I couldn't make any outgoing calls nor receive any.


Tuesday: 5:00 PM


I called up their customer service and got through one agent after 10 minutes wait holding the line. They said my details were not in the system.


Wednesday: 9:30 AM


Logged a complaint in their website. No response sent to my email given.


Wednesday: 12:00 PM


Called the customer service again. One agent came through after 12 minutes wait and said the details are there. swicth off the phone and dial *228. It didn't work.


Wednesday: 6:00 PM


Went in person to their webworld and they told it will be activated after 8 pm as their servers are at fault now. And when I was at their webworld hearing the ''Customer Service'' the manager proposed to give for one of his irritating customer. He asked not to give connection to the customer. I was wondering what a great customer service it was.


Wednesday: 11:00 PM


Nothing happened


Thursday: 9:30 AM


Called their customer service. 12 minutes wait. no one came.


Thursday: 11:30 AM


Called their customer service. 10 minutes wait. no one came.


Thursday: 12:15 PM


Called their customer service. 15 minutes wait. One agent turned up and said their servers are down and he cannot look up my information and asked me to call after another hour.


I lost my patience. I asked him ok, all is right; just let me know the procedures to terminate the connection and get my money refunded.


The agent asked for the R E A S O N S. what?... What ..? I was hearing..


I blasted at that agent what is he expecting after all that. Then suddenly all as a magic he saw my information on the system and responded he will follow up.


And finally


Thursday: 3:30 PM


My mobile is working. I was able to make outgoing calls.


The one thing good showedup was how these agents were trained to handle customers.


They asked whether they can put us on hold and put on hold only when we say yes.


And when they return back, they say thanks for the Valuable(?!) patience. 15 minutes wait is surely a Valuable patience. Yes, we cannot take out our frustration on these poor agents. But they have to take the feedback and make sure things get improved.


I thought Reliance is Reliable. Not any more.
