Hello Everyone,
Its about a month since I subscribed RIM NewJoy399. I took this decision because my call pattern is like about 90% of my calls are long distance calls ( greater than 500 kms ) and almost all these long distance calls are to mobiles.
I analyzed and compared a few service providers and then decided to go for reliance because no one else was giving such a low rate 1 re/min ( +10.2% stax ) that is almost 1.10re/min.
While I was about to subscribe to reliance I consulted a few, even read a few reviews at mouthshut, though the outcome was negative, still, you can say because of hunch i give it a go. Now, I realise that I'm actually quite happy with it.
Earlier I was with airtel for about a year, though I'm not able to cut down my bill with reliance but eventually I'm talking more in about the same budget. I'm using RIM here in bangalore and I faced no connectivity problems or something on the same lines ever. Since I've already received a bill, doubts about the hidden costs and all ( all those rumors I heard from others ) are no more there. There is actually no hidden cost. My bill was exactly the way it should be as per my plan.
RWorld is free. This is quite a handy feature. Day by day they're coming up with a lot more facilities under the RWorld belt. Now u can actually book your railway tickets as well through RWorld, isn't it wonderful ? I would like to admit that I've infact become quite habitual of this RWorld. I use all these features while commuting daily when I've nothing else to do like whats in line on TV, news, headlines etc.
The only drawback I would say is that they have limited number of handsets and that too with limited features. Like there is no good high end set available. Furthermore, in todays bluetooth world you're actually limited to IR or dependent on RIM services for data transfer, and needless to say that IR is quite outdated. To exchange/transfer pictures or any other big data object bluetooth is the only option or else a data cable and a computer !!!
All in all, for me given my call pattern its a full paisa wasool. I hope that soon they bring more high end sets into their range of handsets and it would make the experience more rewarding for me.
