I bought my Samsung LED TV from reliance and they offered me an extended warranty on the product. As I was not aware of this, I showed my interest and happened to get my self convinced to go for an 2 year extended warranty so that it makes a total of 3 years warranty on the product. As they offered me some discount for 2 year over the 1 year plan. However, later when read the terms it appears that the warranty is covered by Reliance and not the product manufacturer, which is Samsung in my case and if there are issues it would be my responsibility to drop the item to their service centre and it would not be handled or attended at my place by certified Samsung engineers which is quite disappointing.
