In March 08 my MTNL broadband was down due to some server breakdown at the Telephone exchange. As the line was down for six(6) days I decided to go for alternate broadband ISP provider and decided to opt for the wireless broad net service of Reliance.
I contacted the local Reliance webworld and the representative was down in my house on the following day and suggested that I go for the Broadnet service and was informed that the company will be installing wireless receiver on the top of my house which cost Rs 10000+ free of cost and have to pay Rs 500 as token deposit. Presto I completed the documentation process and gave them a cheque for Rs 500. I was told that they will contact me in a few days for installation.
After four days I called up the toll free helpdesk and was given a eight digit reliance number of the Sales co-ordination department at Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai who will assist me in providing detail on installation. When I called up this number they merely picked up the line and no one was coming online and I could hear the voices of staff talking around. This happened three times on the 1st day and I encountered similar reception on second and third day with no one coming online. On the third I got a call from the technical team stating that they wish to install the equipment at my residence I requested them to hold on for a day, then when I went thru reviews in the MOUTHSHUT site and found that it was a unreliable service.
I iimmediately contacted my bank and was informed that the cheque for Rs 500 has not come for presentation and gave instruction to the bank to STOP PAYMENT . Later I gathered the info that Due to innumerable complaints from customers the Reliance, Sales co-ordination dept never answers the phones of the customer.
