I lived for over 11 years in Colaba, Mumbai before shifting to Navi Mumbai.And the nearest and most easily accessible theater used to be Regal Cinema.It is an iconic single screen theater in the heart of Colaba. An entire locality is know as'Regal' due to this cinema theater.
Ambience: It has this old world charm, you feel like you are taken back in time. The building itself is old, the exterior is maintained and looks new but the insides tell you the real story.
It has old world style ticket windows and decor.It is not spacious too as space is a pricey commodity in this area.
Screen and sound: Reasonable, that is all I can say. Do not go on expecting ultra clear picture and super crisp sound.
Seats: The seats are not very comfortable though. Or probably I am used to the new age cushy seats.
Ticket prices: You can call it cheap when compared to prices of same movies in multiplexes.
Verdict: Must visits, even for just one movie. Its a piece of Mumbai that you should experience.
