Today evening was the worst experience I had in my life. I am regretting on booking an online bus from RedBus.in with "Eagle Travels - MultiAxle Volvo AC sleeper" from Rajkot to Mumbai.
1) The bus timing got changed from 6:05 PM to 7:15 PM awaiting for bus for long time.
2) After on-boarding into the bus, it came to my notice that the bus was not multi axle but a simple single axle AC Volvo bus not up to standard of Volvo for which I had paid 3600/- for 2 tickets.
3) I argued with the bus driver and cleaner for not providing the right bus, so they misbehaved with me and asked me to talk to next Eagle Office at 150 Ring Road Rajkot.
Also the online seats 31, 32 they replaced with 25, 26 seats due to double bookings made on the same seats which was their mistake and not ours. So I requested them to atleast give me the seats which I had booked online.but as usual they behaved rudely with me and asked me to adjust and compromise on what is provided at that moment.
I was not the only victim, but other passengers who had booked online through RedBus faced the same situation and they also argued with the bus driver. Many had paid more than 2100 for the same seats expecting multi axle Volvo AC bus from Eagle Travels. But the bus was single axle asking passengers to compromise and adjust and on-board immediately else the bus would start leaving passengers on the boarding point as it is.
Many compromised and checked into the bus as nobody had time or dare to fight against Eagle Travels.
5) I left the bus as the driver and cleaner did not stop for me to clear out things. So I went to eagle office for my refund. But the lady sitting in the Office was so rude and she told me in gujarati "tamari sathe baby che toh atli katkat sukam karo cho, vayu javu tu ne bus ma. Pachi e single axle hoi ke multi axle su farak pade che."
These were the words from Eagle Staff.
6) They didn't gave me the refund and asked me to cancel online and get your refund and left me on my way without bothering about their customer.
7)When I told them that I will take legal action and lodge a police complaint against Eagle Travels, the attitude and response I received from them was "Je thai e kari lyo"
8.I left my wife and 2.5 yrs daughter at Eagle Office at ring road, moving towards Police Station. The very first police station I visited was "Gandhigram Police Station". As usual they redirected me to other branch as the Eagle Office from where I onboarded was not in their vicinity.
So on my own expenses I went to another police station "University Police Station of Rajkot" which was around 6 kms from current location.
The response I received was the same as usual. That eagle office is not in our vicinity. They asked me to go to another police station which was again the same distance long from that station. But without losing my patience I travelled to "A-division police Station". The inspector over there were polite and had listened to my complaint but even after hearing the entire verdict they gave me the same reply as I had received from above two.
They redirected me to "Pradyuman Police Station" but atleast they gave me police jeep with me this time. I enjoyed first time in the police jeep sharing the incident with inspectors sitting in the jeep. The staff in the Pradyuman Police Station were cooperative but at the end I received the same reply that this office is not in our vicinity so we can't take your complaint.
Every person I met in the police station asked me to take complaint back and close the matter. One thing which I noticed during these hours was before I reached the station they were aware of the incident which clicked me that Eagle Travels had big hands all over Rajkot Police Stations and nobody was ready to help me.
At last when I went to "Taluka Police Headquarters" of Rajkot, the PSI helped me and took my complaint. While I was writing complaint against Eagle Travel, the PSI of Taluka station received a call from the Manager of Eagle Travels who asked him to close this issue and compromise by giving me my refund amount of 3600/- but that nonsense fellow didn't had common sense that I could have got my refund back even after online cancellation. The manager had a word with me on call in front of PSI stating that bhai single axle hoi ke multi axle hoi tamne Volvo bus toh mayli ti ne.
PSI noted these words and took my complaint immediately assuring me to take strict action against Eagle Travels soon.
I am really thankful to the PSI of Taluka Police Station Rajkot for taking my complaint seriously and assuring me to give me justice for the problems I had faced today due to Eagle Travels.
