The bus which we booked via Redbus for a corporate team outing was from 6 am - 10 pm on Sunday 6th May 2018. First and foremost until the last moment i.e. 1:30 pm of 5th May 2018 there was no intimation of the driver/bus details as promised. We had to call and coordinate with Mr. Punith Mehta(Bangalore based red bus employee – ph no:+91 9513331517) multiple times for the bus details, which ideally should have been given to us by default. On top of that, Mr. Punith was mentioning about his personal issues while talking to us and the reason for the delay(dropping mom to the hospital, in hospital etc), which was nowhere related to professional help/ behavior. Post this followup we finally got the details of the driver. Two different driver details came in SMS from the bus vendor & email from the Redbus.
Finally after coordination with the driver and the vendor company we agreed that the bus will be at pick-up location by 6 am sharp, as scheduled. The whole team was waiting and bus did not arrive on time until 6:30 am! They did not even bother to inform that they will be late or their ETA. After the bus arrived to add on to our dismay, the bus was a non-ac one! We had booked for an AC bus. This was the time when redbus call center was not available, and when I called Punith Mehta to check, he did not pick up and also did not have any consideration of calling his client/customer back in regards to any issue that may have come up. When asked the vendor, he said that ‘they do not have any ac bus service for Bangalore city’!
The whole journey of ours started on a bad note and also took 1.5 hours over the planned itinerary which resulted in missing out on a lot of corporate games to be played by the group which was pre-booked with the resort.
This by far was the worst experience with redbus and the vendor – Rashmi Travels & Tours – Bangalore. Nobody should book through redbus because you may end up jeopardizing your whole planned trip.
