Red Fort is situated in delhi. It is a famous historical place. Red Fort(Lal Quila) is near about Yamuna river, built by Shah-Jahan in the 17 th century in Old Delhi.
Named for its red-sandstone walls called Lal- Quila.
The view of the main entrance, called Lahore Gate, flanked with towers facing Chandni Chowk, is unfortunately blocked by a barbican(gate house), which the paranoid aurangzev added for his personal.
Local sight scene from here is Yamuna river, Jama Maszid, Shanti Neer etc. Because of Red Fort is a famous historical place in Indian through World history it is in a high security zone.
Many hotels are available in Old Delhi and New Delhi.
