RED FORT
Red fort is historical place located in the center of New Delhi banks of Yamuna river . The ancient emperor Shah Jahan constructed in 1939 for transfer the capital from Agra to Delhi. It is political centre of Mughal political state. It indicates the Mughal's architecture creativity and importance. It is useful for Mughal emperors royal residence at that time.
In another angle Red Fort is one of the best tourist place in our capital city. It is declared as world heritage site by UNESCO in the year 2007. It is also known as Lal Qila. In modern days the Prime Minister of India give his speech from Red Fort on 15th August of every year.
Under historical back ground of Red Fort, it was constructed in 1648 for thel purpose of change of capital to Delhi. Later the Britishers occupied the fort and built as their own residence. After independence in 1947 the Government of India handed over the Red Fort.
In view of construction the total built area comes to around 255 acres. The boundary wall around the fort measured approximately 2.5 kilometers. The street of Chatta Chowk begins begins at main entrance popularly known as Lahore Gate, of fort which the border consisting of best jewelers, carpet makers, weavers and goldsmiths. It is also known as Meena Bazar nothing but shopping center for ladies. The Drum House also situated near Chatta Chowk in which the musicians will play for the emperor.
The Red Fort was designed by famous legend architect Ustad Ahmed Lahauri who built world famous Taj Mahal. It was constructed in many styles like islamic architecture style and Mughal architecture style which is better structures of Persians. It has own beautiful garden and Stream of Paradise. The architecture style inspired many people to built many constructions after independence. Most of the structures were damaged later.
In security aspect the Delhi police already prohibited aerial activities including flying and para gliding and hot air balloons across the Delhi city. Thousands of security personnel which included 5000 police men allotted to
protect the historic mughal fort particularly at the time of seminars, foreign meetings, independence day celebrations etc. For the first time 300 cameras with a view of 360 degrees, installed by police men around the great red fort for the purpose of security for independence day celebrations. Over 70000 police men were used for the security of great historic red fort and delhi city at the time of 71st independence day celebrations by the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi who delivered speech. Based on this security we can estimate how importance the historical red fort has.
The Delhi Government is developing continuously as a tourism spot with huge plans. There are several historical cities, Monuments and Museums around the great historic fort city. The Delhi Government is getting lot of revenue under tourism concept from around the world.
