Jeene laga hoon pehle se zyada, pehle se zyada tum pe marne laga hoon...... Are the most Romantic lines ever said by anyone. Ramaiya Vastavayya, a beautiful love story. You just cant stop yourself from falling in love with this EPIC movie.

Raghu (Sonu Sood) and Sona (Shruti Hassan) lose their mother in their childhood. Being rejected by her husband, she dies in shock while travelling in the train. At the station, a station master(Vinod Khanna) promises to take care of the children and also agrees to repay their loan in case Raghu fails to pay it.

Raghu from then does a lot of hard work and repays the loan for the mortgaged land and also takes care of Sona. Son of Raghu’s land-lord has always tried to impress him and marry Sona. On the death of their horse Raghu gifts Sona a wooden horse which she always keeps with her. Then the story goes twenty years forward where Sona’s best friend Riya’s comes there to invite them for their wedding.

After continuous pleading Raghu allows Sona to attend the wedding. At the wedding Sona meets Riya’s cousin Ram(Girish Kumar) who introduces himself as a bad, misbehaved Casanova kind of guy. Ram mistakes Sona for Riya and hugs her, but riya comes there and introduces her.

From then Ram also tries to irk Sona by his continuous pranks and asking her if there is “something something” between them. During Riya’s engagement, Sona notices her that Riya is a bit tensed. The problem is that riya writes love letters to a bad guy in her college who now blackmails her to spoil the wedding. Sona tells this to Ram and they both go to him and bring the letters back successfully.

From then they both become good friends. Seeing this Riya’s family friend Pankhuri Awasthi gets jealous who wants to marry Ram. Pankhuri goes to Sona’s room and breaks her wooden horse. Sona starts crying on seeing it broken and tells Riya that this horse always stayed with her from childhood and never wanted to lose it. Ram takes the broken pieces and joins them, to cover the cracks on it he uses beads and makes it look more beautiful.

Seeing so much caring Sona falls for Ram and their romance starts. These fifteen to twenty minutes of romance are magical in the movie. ?. But Pankhuri goes and tell Ashvini (Poonam Dhillon) who plays the role of Ram’s mother about Sona. Ashvini sends Ram our on some work and goes and insults Sona infront of everyone, unfortunately Raghu comes there at same time.

Even she humiliates him and asks them to get away from there. When ram returns he misunderstands that Sona left him but Riya tells him what had happened and Sona left his heart back here for him. Ram goes to Sona’s room and finds her horse.

Ram starts his journey to Sona’s house where on his way finds Prabhu Deva and the item song Jaddo ki Jhappi comes. After reaching there, Ram tries to convince Raghu but gets beaten up badly. He then comes and asks again to marry Sona.

Vinod Khanna asks Raghu to give him one chance, on this Raghu says if he can do agriculture and produce the same yield as him he will accept his proposal. Ram agrees to this. The next day Raghu’s co-worker troubles him a lot and everyone expects that he will the leave next day.

But the next day, Ram gives a fresh start and by the guidance of Sona and Vinod Khanna he learns everything about farming. He does everything from cleaning the dung to supplying milk and every other task assigned to him which he has never done in his entire life.

He also eats rice with mirchi powder, which initially he finds difficult to eat and sleeps in cow shed. Randhir Kapoor who plays the role of Ram’s father comes to the village and tries to take him back. But seeing his dedication and love for Sona, he is impressed but is also angry because Sona is sitting happily and watching his son work hard.

To which Vinod Khanna tells that even Sona is eating same food and sitting in the temple whole day praying for him to win. Randhir Kapoor meets Sona and blesses her and leaves from there wishing them success.

The land-lord and Riya’s father along with Nassar make several plans for Ram to lose the challenge. In one of their futile attempts the shed in which Ram lives gets on fire. When all the members try to stop the fire, Ram jumps in the fire.

When he comes back with fire on his arm, Raghu shouts on him asking what was so important than his life for which he went back. Ram shows him the horse. To which he is impressed but doesn’t show this on his face.

On the results day the land-lord and Riya’s father along with Nassar get united and kidnap Sona. Ram wins the bet and comes running towards Sona, when these wicked people take her away hitting Ram on his head.

Raghu along with Ram fights with all the villains and when the land-lord’s son tries to tie the mangal sutra to Sona both Raghu and Ram come running towards him with a knife. But before raghu uses it, Ram already kills the villain. Raghu takes the blame of the murder and goes to jail for five years instead of Ram.

In the jail he will be planning the names of Sona and Ram’s children which he was sure that Sona wouldn’t have kept without him. But to his surprise he finds them waiting outside the jail in the wedding apparels, they say that the moment of his release is the best time for his marriage. By this time Ashvini also accepts their marriage. Happy ending, everybody enjoys the marriage.

The performance by everyone is too good and the songs are icing on the cake. A must watch movie for every age-group. Love not only between the couple but also brother-sister love, father-son love is portrayed beautifully. Although there are only few scenes between Ram and Randhir Kapoor they are unforgettable.
