My visit to Puri city was an great experience.You do not only go their for worship but also to many recreative places.
The PURI TEMPLE is a very old having its historical importance.Many people visit every year and it is most likely to be visited during RATH YATRA FESTIVAL.
LORD JAGRNATH, LORDESS SUBHADRA AND LORD BALBHADRA are of main importance of this temple.They are believed and worshipped by people with pure love and sanity.You would get the real feeling of holiness in this holy city.The temple has even more idols present.It is a magical thing to know that the temple does not have its shadow even when their is sunlight and till today no birds or any other thing has crossed over the temple.Not only the Temple but their are some nearby places within the city like masi bari , pisi bari and other beautiful architectured temples with also a wonderful church to visit with its histprical importance.
Puri beach is the next popular place to be and it becomes a two in one place for the travellers who visit. The beach is very big and is crowdy , you will have a good time here spending with family and friends.
Not only that but nearby, just few kilometeres away you have the KONARK TEMPLE.The temple is also a historical monument and is said to still have lots of wealth inside the temple.You would be surprised by seeing its design and engineering.Many people say that the wheels designed would move the temple just like a cart.It is a great importance for SUN GOD SURYA to the people.
You have the NANDAN KANAN ZOO which is also one of the biggest zoo in INDIA.Their are several species and recreative means to enjoy.You get a savari to have a close look of wild animals.Their is a beautiful lake in the zoo in which you can spend time boating.
Thei is a hill present called DHAULGIRI where you cashew is grown and sold.A beautiful temple to visit at the top of the hill.
Their is no shortage of hotels , lodges and food .You have uncountable hotels at low and high price and good and tasty food is available in the temple itself.
Do not forget to taste KHAJA which is the prasad of the temple.
I would recommend this place to be visited by all my readers.It is not only the most holy or enjoyable place but also a place which is not very costly and even a normal middle class people can afford .I had a wonderful experience and surprises here.
