I have been living in pune for last one year. Before that I was in bangalore and from there only I got pune as my job location. My experience is being great till now. I will say pune is much better than bangalore as far as North Indians are concern.
Food is very good here in pune and you find hundreds of options for the same. People are very nice as well. And for weekends you will find lot of tourist places nearby like lavasa, lonavala, khandala etc.
Overall pune is vey nice place for and exploring.
