This is story of love turned REVENGE, PASSION and RAGE...3 shades of love
Story of vengeance and violence...
Movie makes lot of sense but still did not get recognition it deserved...
So this are my few cents...
STORY PLOT :
Major Jai (Anil Kapoor) is an army officer, he does major mission successful when he catches the terrorist Abhrush (Danny)...
Jai returns hometown with all pride...
He falls in love with Pooja Mallapa (Namrata Shirodkar) who is model by profession. Also he has childhood friend Anjali (Madhuri Dixit) who is not only his best friend but also loves him...
Now once Anjali gets to know that he feels for pooja and not for her, she gets jealous and sort of revenge taking intentions developes in her mind...
And then BIG TROUBLE...
Anjali is used by the terrorist force's sources to steal a top secret code from Jai's files.
This leads to Jai's suspension, ultimately court marshal after which Pooja is forbidden by her parents to meet Jai and runs away from him on a foreign assignment.
Jai's life completes one big circle when the boy welcomed proudly by hometown receives all kind hatred feelings from same people at very place where he was proudly welcomed...
Does jai get back to past glories?
Does evil power overpower goodwill?
Does Anjali achieve what she is desired for?

Script is developed in three parts...
Jai'' good times, madhuri''s hatred feelings for him and...
Though script in-between goes bit slow especially in first part...
But director RAJKUMAR SANTOSHI and writer pull out wonderful performance with former giving great treatment to the script.
Both leading character's sketch has been portrayed in detail though POOJA (NAMRATA) is bit wasted.
Songs are of very good quality. Though song stands out for me is TITLE song...
CAST :
Anil kapoor as JAY
He stands out THE BEST...
Power performance...Jai''s character is full of shades...
And he gives really stand out performance...
From proud officer to lover boy and then down and out person to...remains to be seen
PS: He got NATIONAL AWARD for it...

Madhuri Dixit as Anjali
She herself said in one interview that this was one of her best performance, she thinks.
From bubbly open hearted Anjali to jealous, frustrated and then when she realizes what she does, turns self-destructed...
All in all good role offered and she did it very well...
Also throughout movie she looks simply beautiful and DANCE In kesara is also fabulous...

OM PURI as Colonel Hussein
LOYAL army officer. Always has faith in JAY. And he triggers twist later on...
Memorable performance from him.

Danny Denzongpa as Abhrush
Terrorist with evil plans. Hates INDIA and manages sources and evil plans to execute.
Typical DANNY performance and facial expressions with eyes says it all...

Music :
It was up to AR standards...
If KESARA KESARA was dance number then SUNTA HAI was utterly romantic...
And if HUMRAHI JAB HO was easy going then TITLE was seriously superb...
Also not to forget
The action sequences are a major highlight of the film as are the photography and locales

The movie was meant to be A TRIBUTE to jawans who won KARGIL battle...
I think it was good combination of entertaining and good message conveying...
Script was really good and treatment was good except few halts and jerks in early part...

Final word:
Movie portrayed PATRIOTISM with reality...
Also said that Love is always patient and kind, it never turns as jealous...
PITY
That people didn't give recognition it did deserve, they fell for UTTER POPCORN movie KHNPH...
I feel its one of the very good if not BEST and well directed movie..Highly recommended if you have not seen..
