A horrible Home stay. Review on Prince of Kalasa

Sharing a small journey over a weekend, which will help you know not to choose this Home Stay. Please read the complete story you will come to know how Fraud these people are

We were a group of 7 Corporate Guys, this was my 4th visit to chikmagalur since we didn't find availability in our previous Home stays we opted this

Confirmed itinerary after 3k advance was sent

What actually was promised

Day1 Reach home stay located at kalasa by 7AM. Fresh up & have breakfast(9AM to 10AM). Site visit to waterfalls, hanging bridge and tea garden beside the homestay(10-30 to 2PM) Back to homestay(fresh up lunch and rest) 4pm move to mugilupete hill top, Back to homestay(fresh up and dinner with bonfire(8 to 10PM)

Day2:

Morning fresh up and breakfast by 9AM and check out from homestay.

Included(Jeep charges for site visits and 4 meals)

What actually happened

Let me get straight into the story, We reached by 7:30 am to the place which is on the main road, we waited for 10 min and Mr. Sachin comes up and gives the room keys and goes away. I asked if we could get some tea/coffee. reply was milk will come in 15 min I shall send it to the room, we had two rooms we got freshen up in an hour and still we did not get the tea nor any person came and inquired, after two hours around 9:30 am I went up to the office place and didn't find Mr. Chandra Mohan who was the person who took are bookings and was in touch for the advance payment

I called the # and he came out I introduced my self and he gave a hand left hand shake like your holding someone's hand while walking and said breakfast is ready

We all went to the Breakfast table and imagine the already serve food in plates, so you have no option to choose, The breakfast had single Idly, Puliyogare, sambar, Chutney, gulkan, bisibele bath. Nothing was hot not even warm, the chutney was damm cold looks the just took out from fridge, Team was pissed they some how had the breakfast and came out

Here started all the story When asked Mr Chandra Mohan about why the Breakfast is so bad he started a argument and he said you cannot buy everything for money if not interested you check out the room and the advance of 3k is done, I have other customers waiting, He was not ready to listen only for what our team was telling in a soft way, He was boosting himself stating he is a CA and also a professional guy all bullshit stories, then we requested him to give good food for lunch and dinner

The trip started at 11:30 am itinerary was changed, first it was hill top for an hour, then drive inside tea estate and lastly the falls for an hour. We came to falls and all guys were super exited to play in the water, we all started to play in the falls and one guy comes after 10 min and says come out do not play this is forest area and your not allowed to play here, inquired which home stay we came from and knowing that he started yelling at Mr Chandra Mohan as he always send people to this falls which is dangerous and as per forest dept this is a restricted place, we all had to get back with out enjoying and we informed Chandra Mohan the same he said some unrelenting stories and we had lunch and went to rest

We informed him to provide us dinner by 9 pm and he confirmed by 8pm starters will be sent and have the bonefire ready by 8pm and dinner by sharp 9pm

We took rest and everyone were ready by 8:30pm but nothing was ready by then, 9pm the guy started to put the bonfire which took 1 hr, we taught of playing some music from car and the guy comes running and says stop it will disturb others, though the music was not loud at all, Mr Mohan said you can play music, Mr sachin comes and says stop music, we decided not to have music we stopped

Starters they provided; mixture, potato chips, banana chips, jack fruit chips in small bowl, kabab, fish fry. No veg starters were provided

Looking at all this we guys taught its waste arguing with them and went to dinner by 11:45 pm which had a hard chapati, akki roti, paneer butter masala, chicken gravy, pulav, rice and rasam, Everything looked like it was a parcel from nearby restaurant

Morning I woke up and all guys were getting ready to leave I went and asked if tea could be sent to the room for which he agreed and asked the count and said will send in 5 min but this time also 1 hr no tea

We had breakfast which was moderate today, looks like parceled from hotel.

Final settlement We asked him to reduce amount per head as the water fall activity was not done, again he started boosting himself and arguing how can that be done, you need to tell us before only if your reducing the price I would have cancelled your booking and also he said We took you to the waterfalls if some one comes and says to go it is not our problem we cannot reduce, so we finally paid the full amount and vacated the area as we taught no point arguing for few 100 rs

I forgot to tell two other groups vacated the home stay by evening when inquired the also had a story same like us

While travelling back we inquired for few places to visit with the localities and they were like there are so many good home stays why did you people choose Prince of Kalasa they have lot of complaints Please think if you want to step into Prince of Kalasa, I strongly recommend you not to choose this place
