Prestige launched this product several months ago, and I was keen on getting it immediately. However, I decided to wait for some reviews to come in from users of this product. Waited almost 3 months, but no reviews came up, so I decided to buy it. It was worth the risk. The product is great. Now I can make rice and dal at the same time at almost half the time than a gas. There are a set of precautions that you must take while using this cooker - and all of these are mentioned in the manual, EXCEPT ONE - there is a white colour lock in the lid, and the safety rubber should not cover it while closing the lid. This was mentioned by the salesman, but its not mentioned anywhere in the manual. Other than that, no issues so far.The only problem is cleaning the utensil in case food dries up inside. A good way would be to wash immediately after use.
My recommendation - Go for it. But you must have a microwave of minimum 20 litres capacity. Another thing - I have seen some microwaves of 20 its that have a small protruding section inside the microwave. If yours has one like this, then check first if the cooker will be able to rotate freely and that the protruding section doesn't jam the cooker. If you make whole grain dals such as whole moong, maa ki daal, rajma etc, don't expect the microwave to be faster than the good old gas pressure cooker. The time will be fractionally lesser - so if rajma takes about 30 minutes in a cooker, the microwave cooker may take approx the same time or MORE. So use it judiciously - other dals such as toor, masoor, dhuli moong will cook well and fast.
