I used Prestige induction cook top for probably two years and had a minor problem, though I used it really rough and tough this never gave me a problem. I cooked all kinds of stuff except chapatis and deep frys, inductions are not good when it comes to deep frying, it shows up the error codes when the pan gets over heated.
For cooking curries, rice water heating, milk its really fine option. The difference comes when you compare with other models is its usage, you can just use it roughly, cleaning is easy. The ceramic plate has nice build quality. There are several model out there in the brand and I choose the mini model with no tough buttons, a regret after buying was that I should not have gone to the mini model as I had problem placing bigger bowls because of smaller surface area also the fact that bigger models and the mini model didn't have much price difference.
My suggestion would be don't go for the local brands if you are some one who handles the stuff rough and looking for more reliability and long life.
