I brought this Portronics 500 GB hard drive in last August but it makes me in trouble after some days because of few issues started. First of all, the hard disk heats A lot while transferring the data also at that moment it will make lots of motor noise. The data transfer speed is terrible USB 3.0 drive I personally tested in my laptop it reach maximum 15 to 18 MBPS speed which is very very less.
The design is very nice also I didn’t feel heavy while holding it. I did not had many features to postit is performance, but not good value for money product.
This shows that this company used quality of material to manufacture this product along with poor quality speed performance because it takes very long time to see small file as compare to other hand disk’s.
When I Complain about this slow processing then the support Centre replied that this is normal time and you have to be bear this.
Finally I will say this product is very cheap in quality due to heating problem and very slow speed in this performance. I will never recommend this hard drive to anyone.
