Pondicherry is a UT in south of india and was ruled by french. Now it is a place known for its beaches, french cusine and culture, Ashrams and museum.
To visit pondicherry, I took a flight from Delhi to chennai and then hire a cab to go to pondicherry. It is about 150 Kms from chennai and the road is eastern coastal road. The road is very beutiful and went along with the beach to pondicherry.
This place is full of local sighscenes and places. You can visit rock beach in the morning yoga or night walk, there is a White town area which has complete buildings and roads build in a french style. The resturants their, provides the french cusine and you will be really amaze with it. You can visit the pondicherry museum for art and culture. There are a lot of famous cafe and pubs to visit.
You can easily get the accomodation here in this city. The rooms range from Rs 500-15, 000, depending upon you needs and requirement. The food here is easily available and range from south indian, french. You will also find veg food easily.
There is no issue of safty in this place, you will find people roaming on the road even at 2: 00 am. I really like that on most places you will find traffic police and they manage traffic well.
