I heard a lot about policybazaar through their Advertisements and online campaigns. So when it was my time to buy a term insurance plan for myself and my family, I downloaded this policybazaar mobile application and decided to research on what policy options do I have and what options they provide. I browsed through the app and entered all my details so that I can get an idea of the total monthly premium I will need to pay for the term insurance. Once checked I exited the app. After that the real nightmare started.
1- First, I got a call from their executive asking me why I left the policy buying process in between.
2- I informed him that I was just browsing through their site to check the premium amount I will need to pay if I buy a term plan.
3- So he started forcing me to buy the Policy by saying that if you buy it now you will get a 10% premium discount.
4- I somehow managed to get rid of him by saying that I don't wish to buy a policy right now as I am planning to buy it after 6 months.
5- After that one phone call from them, they literally started harassing me by calling twice or thrice a day daily.
6- I replied to their call 2-3 times but after that it was unbearable and so I stopped picking up their calls.
7- Still they kept calling after which I started blocking their numbers.
8- But this was not the end, when I blocked one of their number, the next moment they called me back from some another number.
9- This way, I blocked around 8-10 numbers from which they called.
10- They still call me daily and I am really helpless in finding a way to get rid of their calls.
One mistake of mine to just check a policy from their application has put me into a lot of harassment. I tried reporting their app through their mail with this issue, but got no response. I would recommend other users to use this app only if you seriously wish to buy a policy at that instant, else you will also face the same consequences.
