A couple of months ago I was been repeatedly hounded and lured into taking a bt offer on my existing lap loan with Bandhan bank. Reluctantly I finally agreed in taking the offer as it was @10% by 20th Dec 2019 n I was assured of a top-up loan of more than 2 lacs by Vinod Rathod.
Hence I agreed upon choosing PNB housing finance & went ahead with the proceedings.
In the last week of Nov 2019, I had handed Vinod all the requested documents so that I could avail the bt offer before the 20th Dec.
I got a call from Sahil on the 10th Dec for a credit review check. During which I was asked about 2 deferred payments in the month of Feb n Mar 2019 towards my current loan. I did explain to Sahil that I had a payment problem due to my elder sister's death.in response, he asked if I could provide the death certificate.
To which my clear n loud response was a straight no & I did not mind losing the bt offer but would not provide any such documents whatsoever for some personal reasons. Despite my response, my loan got sanctioned n I was provided with a sanction letter on one of the conditions to furnish the document.
This was the 1st instance where I felt cheated by the credit team.
Then the legal team requested clarification on a query which was clearly & rightly a part of the original agreement between the builder n the 1st owner a copy which was already given during the loan application. Bhupender from money mantra was the only one who was really helpful n understanding.
Since the query was sent to my mail I made numerous calls a day in day out proactively everyday sending multiple emails back n forth to Rajesh Pal, Sachin Rajpurkar n Vinod Rathod pleading that there was no such document to resolve the query.
It was a mental torture I went through as most of the times Rajesh n Vinod ignored my calls n when they answered I was tired of explaining to them over n over n over that no such document exists as I myself was a secretary of the society for 5 years during which there were several flat transactions done but I never came across any such query. They were of absolutely no help at all. Finally, I spoke to all the members of my society to understand this query but all gave me a standard response that everything is detailed in the 1st agreement. At last, on the 24th Dec, I asked Sachin to revisit the agreement copy I gave during the application n the query was resolved.
This is the competence of the legal or the sales team who did not bother to peruse all my documents or give me a call to understand but raised concern for something which was already given to waste my 16 days. It was the most harrowing n miserable experience I ever had with the customer service who do not value their customers at all. Even the customer service team who were looped in all my emails only sent me a prompt automated response but never bothered to call me once which is more upsetting.
I was finally relieved that the legal issue was resolved but to make my experience more horrible I got an mail asking for my sister's death certificate again.
Despite repeatedly telling Sachin that I had not accepted this condition n requesting him to retrieve the call evidence between the credit team n me, he kept on insisting that I submit the document n I am still stuck here till day wherein no one from the bank bothers to even check on my loan status but I have to keep calling n if Sachin answers he only give false assurance n commitment that he will resolve my query by the end of the day. This has been the routine daily.
On 7th Jan after a month finally, I had decided I do not want to go through this mental harassment of feeling cheated anymore hence I requested to have my bt loan offer which was approved n sanctioned on the 10th Dec cancelled.
Hence requested PNBHF refund of all the fees which were taken from my account by conning me
I can proudly say that I have applied for several other loans in my lifetime n I was never rejected a single one but PNBHF is the worst financial institution I have ever come across who treats their customers like beggars.
My entire stint of 13 years with TCS i have been working for customer service myself n I feel disgusted to say that all the PNBHF sales staff that I interacted with have been very frustrating.
If I had to go through such a horrific experience from the sales team I wonder how much worse could it get once I avail the loan.
I did try escalating the concern umpteenth times n I am fed up as no one really cares for the customers here.
I have sent them several emails requesting to refund my processing n legal fees but they only reply t g rough automated mails both the customer service team n the nodal officer team. All. Other mails are blocked.
This is a real scam they are running to cheat customers. Pls be aware
I hope no other potential customers have to go through this awful experience n I will never ever recommend this bank to anyone.
